​​Emmanuel Baptist Church was formed under the direction of Brother John Cutburth in September of 2011. The church began steadily growing until a health need arose in the Cutburth's family causing him to regretfully step down as the pastor. The Lord has since brought Alan Kalgren and his family to Pierce City and Emmanuel Baptist Church to become the new pastor. Pastor Kalgren graduated from Gospel Light Baptist Bible Institute in May of 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies. After serving as a faithful church member at Gospel Light Baptist Church, the Lord called Pastor Kalgren to the assistant pastor position at Crossroads Baptist Church in Girard, Kansas under Pastor Mike Buckamneer. After serving with Crossorads Baptist for just under a year, the Lord opened the doors allowing Pastor Kalgren and his family to come to Pierce City and become the new pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
